The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) has warned that unstable weather conditions will continue across the country for the next 72 hours.
Temperatures will drop starting Sunday and winds carrying sand and dust are expected in the north of the country as well as in northern Upper Egypt, and frost is expected in north and central Sinai.
Decreased visibility and turbulent navigation will hit the Red and Mediterranean seas. Rain may also fall along the northern coast, the Nile Delta and Cairo.
Temperatures nationwide will range between highs of 13 to 15 degrees and lows of 3 to 5 degrees.
The temperature forecasts throughout the country are as follows over the upcoming 72 hours:
Cairo and Nile Delta: 15-9 degrees
Alexandria and North Coast: 14-6 degrees
North Sinai: 15-8 degrees
Upper Egypt: 19-4 degrees
The Alexandria Port Authority closed on Sunday the Alexandria and Dekheila ports due to bad weather conditions, Ahram Arabic news website reported.
However, Port Authority spokesperson Reda El-Ghandour said that the loading and unloading of ship cargo will continue normally.
