Egypt will see moderate weather on Monday during the day and extremely cold weather at night, the Egyptian Meteorological Authority has said.

The Ports Authority in Alexandria has also closed two major ports, Alexandria and Dekheila, due to bad weather and heavy seasonal rain, which is set to last for seven days.

Frost is forecast in central Sinai and northern Upper Egypt, the EMA said.

Rain is also expected on the north coast, in parts of the Nile Delta region, in South Sinai and in parts of the mountainous areas along the Red Sea.

Monday Temperatures (low/high):

Cairo: 10-18 degrees

Alexandria: 8-17

Nile Delta: 9-18

North Sinai: 9-19

South Sinai: 17-20

Upper Egypt: 13-19
