Egypt hails formation of new Lebanese government

Egypt's foreign ministry has hailed Lebanon's announcement that a new government had been formed, ending an eight-month delay. 

According to AFP, the new cabinet, unveiled during a press conference at the presidential palace on Thursday, includes 30 ministers.

"Egypt welcomes the formation of the Lebanese government, thus enhancing the security and stability of Lebanon and achieving the interests of the Lebanese people," the ministry statement read.
