Egypt's Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicts thunderstorms, rains and dusty winds on Wednesday.

This unstable weather comes following hot temperatures on Tuesday that reached nearly 30 degrees Celsuis throughout the country.

Meteorologists also forecast a significant drop in temperature starting Wednesday in the northern parts of the country.

Winds are expected on the Mediterranean, leading to turbulent  navigation, while rains are predicted nationwide and the northern coast will see dusty winds.

On Thursday, mild temperatures and sunny weather are expected during the day time with cooler temperatures at night. Floods are also expected in Sinai and the Red Sea governorate.

Wednesday temperatures in degrees Celsius are as follows:

Cairo 20 - 14

Alexandria 19 -12

Upper Egypt 20 - 12

Nile Delta 18 -14

North Sinai 22-15

South Sinai 29 - 19
