The success of the Badr 2019 manoeuvre underscores the capability and preparedness of the armed forces to defend Egypt's national security at all strategic fronts, said Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Mohamed Farid on Friday.

Farid made the remarks while witnessing the final stage of the manoeuvre, which has been implemented by the Third Field Army units and the main army units over the past few days.

The manoeuvre falls within the framework of the annual exercises of the armed forces.

The final stage of the exercise involved coordinating efforts between the different units of the armed forces.

The armed forces always seek to hone the combat and administrative skills of fighters, in line with the world's latest armament technologies, Farid said.
