Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas will arrive in Cairo on Saturday for talks with his Egyptian counterpart Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, Palestine’s ambassador to Cairo Diab Al-Louh said.

During his stay, Abbas will take part in an Arab League meeting of foreign ministers called by Palestine to tackle recent developments in the occupied territories, the ambassador said, according to Egypt’s state news agency MENA.

The two leaders met in Cairo in January where they discussed reconciliation between the Fatah group of President Abbas and rival Islamist group Hamas, which controls the Gaza Strip.
