Omar Samra carries banner from Antarctica reading "I hear you from here Tahrir you voice is louder than that of Field Marshal"
Omar Samra, the first Egyptian (and only) to climb Mount Everest, took a picture of himself holding a banner from Antarctica reading “I hear you from here Tahrir, your voice is louder than that of Field Marshal.”
Samra circulated the picture on his Twitter account as hundreds of thousands of Egyptians protested against military rule on the anniversary of the 25 January revolution.
He stated on his account “This Antarctica photo is dedicated to the martyrs who lost their lives fighting for a free and better Egypt, thank you, RIP.”
