Egypt's foreign ministry condemns Baghdad market bombing

Egypt has strongly condemned the bombing of a market in Baghdad on Thursday, which killed eight people and left 10 others wounded.

A foreign ministry statement extended condolences to the victims' families, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.

The statement asserted that Egypt's government and people stand by the Iraqi government and people to preserve the country's security and stability.

Cairo also reiterated its call for action to confront all forms of terrorism and extremism via eliminating funding for terror groups.
