Egypt's parliament speaker heads to China for talks with senior officials

The speaker of Egypt's House of Representatives Ali Abdel-Aal left Cairo for China on Friday on an official visit to the country.

The visit, which comes by invitation of the speaker of China’s parliament is considered a positive reflection of the strategic partnership between Cairo and Beijing at all levels, particularly the parliamentary one.

It also comes in line with the view shared by the two countries with regard to several international issues of common interest.

Abdel- Aal is set to meet with a number of Chinese officials, including the parliamentary speaker and the vice president.
