Egypt condemned on Tuesdayin the strongest terms the drone attack on Monday by Houthi militias in Yemen on Saudi Arabia’s Abha International Airport, which injured nine civilians, the Egyptian foreign ministry said.

In a statement on Tuesday, the Egyptian foreign ministry wished a speedy recovery for the injured.

The statement stressed Egypt's solidarity with Saudi Arabia and support for all the measures adopted by the kingdom to maintain its security and stability.

This is the third time Abha International Airport has been attacked by Iranian-backed Houthi militias.

The airport was attacked by Houthis militias twice in June, leaving casualties.
