Presidential aide for defense affairs Gen. Sedqi Sobhy arrived in Nouakchott early Wednesday to attend the inauguration ceremony of Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Ghazouani.

Sobhi will attend the ceremony, which will take place Thursday, on behalf of President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi.

A high-ranking Mauritanian delegation and Egyptian Ambassador Ahmed Salama received Sobhy at Nouakchott airport.
