Egypt's FM Shoukry to head for Baghdad to attend tripartite meeting with Iraqi and Jordanian counterparts

Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry is set to head to Baghdad on Sunday, 4 August, to attend the tripartite meeting of the ministers of foreign affairs of Egypt, Jordan and Iraq.

Ahmed Hafez, spokesperson of the foreign ministry, said in a press statement that the meeting is scheduled to witness discussions of the three ministers on how to develop the mechanisms of cooperation and integration between the three countries in various fields.

They will also exchange views regarding the overall developments of Arab, regional and international issues of common interest.

According to a statement by the ministry, the ministers are also set to follow-up the implementation of the outcomes of the previous tripartite summit held in Cairo last March.
