Egypt, India FMs discuss bilateral ties over phone

Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and his Indian counterpart Subrahmanyam Jaishankar discussed over telephone Sunday bilateral relations and issues of mutual concern including latest developments in Kashmir, the Egyptian foreign ministry said. 

According to the Egyptian foreign ministry's statement , the telephone telephone conversation discussed the latest developments in Kashmir, with both ministers stressing the need to avoid escalations.

Shoukry pressed for a peaceful solution to all disputes through dialogue, the Egyptian foreign ministry Ahmed Hafez added in the statement. .

The two top diplomats agreed on the importance of boosting cooperation between their countries in all fields to achieve the best interests of both sides, the statement read.
