The Egyptian National Youth Conference's eighth edition will kick off on Saturday in New Cairo.

Some 1,600 participants of mostly young people will attend the event, which will be inaugurated by President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, according to a statement by the National Youth Conference.

The one-day event will comprise three sessions, most notably the 'Ask the President' session, where President El-Sisi will answer questions from the public, who can send their questions online through askthepresident.net

The National Youth Conference was first launched in October 2016 in Cairo, with subsequent editions held in various governorates including South Sinai and Aswan.
