The exhibition focused on how women were well-treated in ancient Egypt, the Foreign Ministry quoted Reda as saying in a press statement on Tuesday.

The exhibition, held from March till 15 September, received worldwide media attention and was covered by news outlets such as The Wall Street Journal, Washington Diplomat, The Washington Post, and the BBC, Reda said.

Egypt's Tourism Minister Rania Al-Mashat highlighted Egypt's efforts to promote women's empowerment during her visit to the exhibition in July.

The Queens of Egypt displayed a collection of 300 ancient Egyptian artefacts from the 18th and 19th dynasties from five European and Canadian museums, including items pertaining to Nefertari, Nefertiti, Hatshepsut, and Cleopatra VII.

The items included monumental statues, jewellery, and sarcophagi.

The exhibition also offered visitors a 3-D tour of a well-preserved tomb in the Valley of the Queens, in Egypt's historic city of Luxor.
