Egyptian security forces killed nine terrorists in raids on two terrorist hideouts in the suburban cities of Obour and 15 May in Greater Cairo, a statement by the Ministry of Interior said.

“Among the terrorists killed in the raids was Mahmoud Gharieb Qassem, known by the alias Khallaf Al-Dahsoury, a leader in the Lewaa Al-Thawra terrorist organisation who was involved in the assassination of army Brigadier General Adel Rajaei in October 2016, and the attack on El-Egiezy security checkpoint in Menoufiya governorate in August 2016, which killed two police officers,” the ministry said.

“Security forces seized six automatic rifles, two sniper rifles as well as nitrate, electric circuits and detonative charges.”
