Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi is set to hold several bilateral meetings with Arab and African leaders as well as leaders of international organisations on the sidelines of the 74th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

A source said that President El-Sisi will be meeting with Mahmoud Abbas, the president of the Palestinian Authority, and Julius Maada Bio, the president of Sierra Leone. El-Sisi will also meet with the Qu Dongyu, the director-general of the Food and Agriculture Organisation.

The second round of the tripartite summit between Egypt, Jordan and Iraq is also scheduled to take place on Sunday.

State leaders will be reviewing what has been agreed upon in the first round of the summit, which was last held March in Cairo, and will discuss enhancing cooperation between the three states to benefit from the potentials offered by their geographical connection, as well as the integration of their strategic and economic interests.

They are also set to review the latest developments and crises in the region, and discuss possible solutions, especially the Palestinian issue and the crises in Syria, Libya and Yemen.
