Speaker of the House of Representatives Ali Abdel Aal affirmed on Tuesday the support provided by Egypt's government and people to Yemen's legitimate government and its people's right to live with dignity and freedom.

Abdel Aal's remarks were made during his meeting with speaker of the Yemeni Parliament Sultan al Barkani and his accompanying delegation, currently on a visit to Egypt.

The Egyptian House speaker said Yemen's security is part of the Egyptian and Arab security.

During the meeting, Abdel Aal congratulated his Yemeni counterpart on assuming his post in April.

Egypt supports efforts exerted to reach a political solution to the Yemeni crisis, he said.

Abdel Aal added that Cairo rejects the targeting of Yemenis and recruitment of children.

He also highlighted Egypt's rejection of an attack that hit Saudi lands.
