The Foreign Ministry advised Egyptians planning to go on a trip abroad to make sure that their passports should have at least six months of validity ahead of traveling.

The assistant foreign minister for consular affairs and expatriates, Yasser Hashim, said that it was noticed recently that airport authorities in some countries had rejected the entry of Egyptians whose passports’ validity were less than six months.

The airport authorities in these countries have said that they act in accordance with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) guidelines and regulations, Hashim added.
