Egypt's Ambassador to the Democratic Republic of the Congo Hamdy Shaaban said Egypt is keen on providing all possible means of support for the African country, particularly in energy sector.

The ambassador made his statements on Thursday in his meeting with the Congolese minister of water resources and electricity.

Both sides hailed good ties between the two countries and emphasized the need to establish partnership through drawing on Egypt’s energy expertise and making use of great potential of DR Congo on that score.

They also mulled cooperation opportunities between both countries in the coming period.
