Members from the Russian Air Defense Forces arrived on Saturday in Egypt to participate in a several-day joint drill with their counterparts at the Egyptian Air Defense Forces (EADF), a statement by the Egyptian armed forces said.
Dubbed "Friendship Arrow - 1", the joint exercise will include several activities and events that focus on sharing air defense training and airspace security expertise.
The joint drill seeks to stimulate the use of modern skills and tactics for more efficient operation management and planning and standardization of military concepts
The training is part of the Egyptian and Russian armed forces' efforts to bolster mutual cooperation.
It demonstrates the strategic cooperation ties between both countries in various domains.
