Egyptian and Russian air forces concluded Sunday the joint military drill ‘Friendship Arrow 1’.
The drill was conducted in Egypt, a first for the Egyptian air defence field.
According to a statement by Egypt’s military spokesperson, Egyptian and Russian forces conducted training activities that should prepare them for successfully managing any real world air attacks.
The statement added that various weapons and specialties, as well as anti-aircraft artillery from Egyptian and Russian air defense forces, participated. In rocket shooting training, the joint forces were able to hit targets with precision and efficiency.
The statement concluded that the drill came within the framework of strengthening cooperation between the Egyptian and Russian armed forces, reflecting the depth of relations and strategic cooperation between the two countries.
