Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly on Monday probed investment opportunities with a delegation from German multinational automaker Volkswagen Group during their visit in Cairo.
The ministers of military production, transport, investment and international cooperation, trade and industry attended the meeting.
Madbouly underscored the key importance President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi gave to transferring automobile manufacturing technologies to Egypt, especially gas and electric drive technology.
The delegation members said they were looking forward to investment opportunities in the Egyptian market, which held a promising future for the auto industry.
The German delegation included the company's directors of logistics, new projects, international policies, the regional director for sales in the MENA region and Volkswagen Board Chairman in Egypt Karim El-Naggar.
Chairman of the Arab Organisation for Industrialisation Abdel-Moneim El-Terass was also in attendance.
