Participants in the Africa 2019 Conference, to kick off on Friday evening, commended the New Administrative Capital project and its investment opportunities, saying it has been established according to the highest international standards, proving the rapid development of the Egyptian economy.
The participants' comments were made during a tour of the New Administrative Capital, organised by the Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation.
The tour included the government neighbourhood, the new parliament premises, Al-Fattah Al-Alim Mosque and the Cathedral of Nativity.
Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Sahar Nasr said organising the Africa 2019 Conference at the New Administrative Capital was planned to promote investment opportunities there and keep African leaders updated on Egypt’s experience in developing its infrastructure.
The minister added that the conference would witness the announcement of investment opportunities in Africa and development deals among partners, African states and the private sector.
The two-day event was held under the auspices of President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, with the participation of African heads of state and governments, investors, regional funds and international institutions as well as development partners.
