General Abdel-Moneim Al-Tarras, chairman of the Arab Organisation for Industrialisation (AOI) received on Sunday Chad’s Minister of Defence and Security General Mohamed Aba Ali Salah.
Salah is on an official visit to Egypt with a security delegation of his senior associates.
During their meeting, Al-Tarras and Salah discussed aspects of cooperation between Chad and the AOI in the defence and security industries. They also tackled the possibilities for Chad to benefit from what the AOI has to offer to meet the needs of its development programmes.
Salah said that Chad is looking forward to cooperate with the AOI in development projects in Chad, particularly in defence industries, armoured vehicles, communications, electronics, digital transformation and renewable energy.
He stated that Chad has been studying the possibility of opening a market for Egyptian products in Chad, especially the AOI’s products.
The Chadian defence minister praised Egypt's “development renaissance” and President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi’s initiative to support Egyptian-African partnerships in various development fields.
Al-Tarras said he agreed with Salah that the AOI will participate in infrastructure, digitisation, and electronic archiving projects in Chad.
