Egypt's Minister of Supply and Internal Trade Ali Moselhi said in a statement on Monday that the country's strategic wheat stock will be enough for five months.

The minister added that the rice stock is enough for three months, sugar stock for six months, vegetable oil for four months, and poultry for three months. 

Minister Moselhi stressed the importance of providing commodities for the people in appropriate ammounts and prices through increasing the supply in consumer complexes outlets, Gaameity project, supply ministry's grocery stores, as well as the ministry's mobile outlets.

Moselhi issued strict instructions to the ministry's directorates to increase monitoring on markets, to deal firmly with all wrong practices, and to hold those who manipulate the markets accountable.
