President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi asked the government to provide a clear vision to achieve integration and harmony between the tourism and antiquities sectors.

El-Sisi was speaking during a meeting on Monday with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli and Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Khaled El-Anany.

The president called for improving the tourism sector by combining entertainment tourism with archaeological tourism to maximise the benefits of the charming tourist attractions in Egypt.

He urged the government to work for promoting the tourism sector's competitiveness to boost economic growth, create job opportunities and remove obstacles facing tourism investors and workers, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said.

Moreover, El-Sisi ordered moving several artefacts to Tahrir Square in Downtown Cairo for the area to be on par with the world's most famous squares that are embellished with Pharaonic antiquities.
