Egypt's Health Ministry said that 38 citizens were injured as a passenger train on Alexandria-Matrouh track derailed on Thursday night, reporting no deaths as a result of the incident.
The Egyptian Railway Authority (ERA) said the passenger train's locomotive and three carriages went off track and overturned.

In a statement released on Thursday, ERA said the train derailed between the stations of Sidi Abdel Rahman and Gazal Ali, adding that a crane will be deployed to the scene to remove the derailed locomotive and carriages as soon as possible
The ERA added that it was currently investigating the causes of the accident
