Egypt has condemned “in the strongest terms” a terrorist attack near the US embassy in Tunisia on Friday which killed a policeman.
The statement by the Egyptian foreign ministry stressed Egypt's rejection of all kinds of terrorism, violence and extremism, and its solidarity with Tunisia in combating the “scourge of terrorism.”
Two militants on a motorbike blew themselves up outside the embassy headquarters in Tunisia on Friday morning, killing one policeman and injuring five others and one civilian.
The two militants were also killed, according to the Tunisian interior ministry.
No group has yet claimed responsibility of the attack.
