Egypt’s cabinet has said that Saturday, April 25, would be a paid holiday for all public and private sector workers to mark the 38th anniversary of the Sinai Liberation Day.

The manpower ministry announced Wednesday that the day would be a paid day off for all private-sector employees.

On 25 April, Egypt celebrates the completion of the withdrawal of all Israeli military forces from the Sinai Peninsula in 1982, following the 1979 Egyptian-Israeli peace treaty.
