Extremely hot weather is forecast for several parts of Egypt from Wednesday, the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) said.
Cairo, Lower and Upper Egypt will witness very hot weather with active winds, while the north coast will see moderate weather with morning mists and active wind.
Cairo will see a high of 37 degrees Celsius and a low of 22 on Wednesday, while Alexandria will see a high of 29 degrees and a low of 18. Temperatures in Upper Egypt will range from 38 to 40 degrees.
The EMA said that the heat wave will last until Monday, with highs of 42 degrees expected in Cairo and 35 degrees on the north coast.
Mild rain is expected in many areas in Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt as well.
