Egypt’s Ministry of Health announced that it has detected 1,567 new cases of coronavirus in the country on Tuesday, bringing the total number of infections to 47,856.
The ministry also reported 94 fatalities, bringing the total number of COVID-19 deaths to 1,766.
The ministry added that 401 patients have fully recovered and were discharged from quarantine hospitals and facilities, bringing the total number of fully recovered patients nationwide to 12,730.
Earlier Tuesday, the health ministry announced an 97-years-old Egyptian elderly “Mrs. Fathia” was fully recovered and discharged from quarantine hospital in Sharkia. She is considered the oldest woman in Egypt to have fully recovered and discharged from hospital.
The Health ministry also revealed that the number of patients whose PCR test results have turned from positive to negative, including complete recoveries, has now reached 14,144.
