Tourism and Antiquities Minister Khaled Anani and his Greek counterpart Haris Theocharis on Monday issued a joint statement on providing care for tourists visiting both countries.
The agreement aims to promote tourism cooperation between Egypt and Greece given the friendly ties between both countries.
The deal is one of the outcomes of fruitful communication between Egypt and the European Union countries on the resumption of visiting tourism activities.
Ambassador Maged Mosleh, official of the Tourism Ministry's international relations and foreign affairs department, said the joint statement stipulated that tourism movement will be resumed between both countries as soon as possible with the cancellation of quarantine period for tourists visiting Egypt or Greece, except for infected cases.
Under the agreement, any coronavirus case among tourists shall be treated by the host country pursuant to the global health and safety standards.
