Egypt reported 420 new coronavirus cases on Monday, bringing the total infection tally to 92,482 since the outbreak began in February.
The health ministry also reported 46 new deaths, bringing the total number of deaths from the virus to 4,652.
The statement said that 1,007 patients have been discharged after recovering from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 34,838.
Egypt has been recording less than 1,000 coronavirus cases per day for more than two weeks now.
Presidential Adviser for Health, Mohamed Awad Taj Eddin said on Sunday the country have controlled the situation of the coronavirus pandemic as a result of the preventative measures adopted by the state and the Egyptian physicians' distinguished performance.
The presidential advisor warned against dealing with the contagion related precautions lightly saying "the disease is still existent and there is still infections and fatalities."
