Egypt’s National Elections Authority (NEA) announced on Thursday that it is going to declare the results of the first stage of the parliamentary elections next Sunday in a press conference in Cairo at the Egyptian State Radio and TV building.
The NEA said that it has received the results from all polling stations from the 14 governorates that were involved in the first phase of the elections at home, and the petitions filed by candidates during the tallying process.
The NEA also added that it would declare the results of the first stage of the parliamentary elections for Egyptians abroad in the same press conference.
The first stage of parliamentary elections was held for Egyptians abroad on 21, 22 and 23 October, and inside Egypt on 24 and 25 October.
The run-off rounds will take place on 23-24 November.
