Alexandria's governor Mohamed El-Sherif announced on Saturday the cancellation of school activity for the second day in a row due to the extreme weather conditions the governorate is currently witnessing.
The University of Alexandria has also cancelled lectures in all its faculties and institutes in anticipation of Sunday's rainfall.
Since Friday night, Alexandria has been witnessing a wave of unstable rainy weather conditions which have flooded some streets.
Meanwhile Egypt’s Meteorological Authority (EMA) stated the north coast and North Sinai, as well as the Nile Delta will witness rainfall on Sunday.
Medium rainfall is expected on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday on the North-Western Coast which includes Alexandria
The EMA urged citizens in those areas to be extra careful while driving.
