Egypt’s health ministry reported 511 new coronavirus cases on Monday, bringing the total infection tally to 121,086 since the outbreak began in mid-February.

The health ministry also reported 23 new deaths, bringing the total deaths from the virus to 6,943.

It said that 257 patients had been discharged from hospitals in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries to 105,132.

Egypt has been recently witnessing a rebound in coronavirus daily cases.

This is the first time for the country to record daily infections toll more than the 500-patient mark since lat July.
