Newly-appointed cabinet holds first meeting today

Prime Minister Ahmed Shafik will head the council of ministers' first meeting today afternoon, where they will review a number of public issues, especially those mentioned by President Hosni Mubarak.

The meeting will adress developing management mechanisms for the upcoming period, with the proposed constitutional amendments regarding the upcoming presidential elections as the meeting’s top priority. 

Moreover, reports from the defense, interior, health, finance, and social solidarity ministries will be discussed.
