Egypt denies deal with Sudan to attack Ethiopian dams
Egyptian minister denies plans are afoot to attack Ethiopian dams in cooperation with Sudan

An Egyptian minister has denied media reports that Egypt has reached an agreement with Sudan to build an airbase on its territory as a launch pad for potential attacks on Ethiopian dams.

The rumour is "designed to disturb Egyptian-Ethiopian relations," Minister of Military Production Reda Hafez asserted on Monday.

The Sudan Tribune reported the allegation on 3 September, citing a 2010 internal email leaked by WikiLeaks, which suggested that Sudan had agreed to build an Egyptian airbase in the country’s Darfur region to be used for assaults on Ethiopian dams should diplomatic efforts fail to resolve the dispute between Egypt and Ethiopia over Nile water-sharing.

Egypt is involved in a long-running dispute with the Nile Basin’s upstream countries over water rights as the latter continue to contest the shares allocated by colonial-era treaties giving Egypt the largest share of the continent's longest river.

Under the treaties, Egypt is entitled to 55 billion cubic metres (bcm) of the Nile's total annual flow of around 84bcm.

Egypt is concerned that Ethiopia’s Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam, a huge hydroelectric dam on the Blue Nile, about 40 kilometres from the border with Sudan, will damage its vital flow of water when completed.

bribing/manipulating the study team by Egyptions
EGPYT after some months will 100% declare the great Ethiopian Renaissance dam will have a negative impact; there is no need to go in detail! They have started bribing/manipulating the study team with money! As they did in the past! Th e jubilation has not yet stopped in Egypt ministry and military offices because of death Ethiopian grate prime minister. Currently Ethiopians are still in the feeling of mourning though Egyptians are still happy and have started the game of conspiracy over Ethiopia. What is the most surprising thing currently is Egyptians officials’ blatantly have started insulting the Ethiopian great late prime minister in the media! Since his death many interviews which are given by many Egyptians officials presently show how much Egyptians don’t like peaceful coexistence & how much they were defeated in diplomacy. It is a fact that, Egyptians are now working clandestinely to dismantle Ethiopia, via Eritreans, IMF and we know they you went to south Soudan for their

Radioactive Waste
If Egypt and Sudan can stop Ethiopia from making good out of her rivers, what follows is neither Egypt nor Sudan can benefit from the river, Ethiopia can pollute the water at the spot when the river leaves Ethiopian territory to enter Sudan. Radioactive waste is worthless to get. Think twice.

It would be foolish and nightmare
First of all we Ethiopian respect any parties let alone our African brothers. Apart from that thinking such non-sense would only put unavidable fire on the hands of Egypt, especially Sudan. To work against Egyptian interest on Abby/Nile is so easy as far as enemity developed between our countries; however, the current project has insignificant problem for Egypt. Let alone Egypt, I don't think Al Beshir ruine his relationship with Ethiopia knowing Ethiopia is more reliable alay than Egypt for him. I believe Sudan never takes such a unwise step and does the evilish agrement; especially, it is risk for Mr. albeshir himself.
