Driver lost control of steering wheel on rugged terrain; no suspicious circumstances around accident so far

A Central Security Forces truck overturned early Monday in the eastern Sinai Peninsula, killing 18 soldiers and wounding six, the MENA news service reports.

An interior ministry official said the accident occurred when the driver lost control of the steering wheel whilst driving over rugged terrain.

Ambulances were immediately sent to the scene and the casualties were transferred to a nearby hospital, he added.
