At a press conference on Saturday afternoon in Wadi El-Natroun, Egypt's Coptic Orthodox Church announced the final list of 5 candidates in the running to become the next pope replacing Pope Shenouda III who died in March.
Two of the candidates are monks and three are priests.
Candidates are Bishop Raphael, general bishop of Central Cairo, Bishop Tawadros, Father Raphael Ava Mina, Father Pachomios El-Syrian and Father Seraphim Al-Syrian
The church is expected to pick the new Pope in a special lottery ceremony before end of year.
