Amr Moussa announced that he will be running for Egypt’ s 2011 presidential elections in September.

According to activist Ahmed Nassar, Moussa, Secretary General of the Arab League, stated that he will be devoting his time in the coming months to his presidential campaign as soon as he hands over his Arab League post in March.

Moreover, Moussa met January 25 activists at the Arab League’s headquarters yesterday where they laid out a plan for a popular campaign focusing on the principles of law, democracy and human rights.

Amr Moussa presidential material?
Lets start with what he has done or not done for Egypt or for the Arab League over the past years; what I need to see is a detailed cv to revise. I believe Egypt needs someone who was not raised in a dictatorship, who can think outside the box&who has a masters from a western nation, preferably America or Canada. The British/French systems are a total disaster;&who has experience other than 30 years of politics.I'm sure there will be many candidates, younger&as we have seen over the past couple of weeks fearless but innovative & technically oriented to this century; We should be consultants, advisors, even sounding boards...lets get out of the box...
