Thousands of Zamalek die-hard football fans (Ultras White Knights) marched on the public prosecutor office in downtown Cairo Wednesday to demand retribution for one of their comrades who died during last year’s infamous Mohamed Mahmoud Street clashes.

Shehab El-Din Ahmed, a member of the Ultras White Knights, was killed 11 November in clashes in one of the streets leading to Tahrir Square, the cradle of last year’s revolution.

The ardent group of supporters lifted banners bearing a photo of Ahmed and chanted in anger at what they perceive as a lack of justice delivered.

Protesters commemorating the clashes in Mohamed Mahmoud Street have engaged in fresh confrontations with police forces near the interior ministry premises.
