Turnout in Egypt's referendum 1st round could exceed 50 per cent, says SEC

The Secrtetary-General of the Electoral Commission Zaghloul El-Balshi says that some 50 per cent of the 25 million registered voters in the ten governorates casting ballots in the first round of the constitutional referendum (out of a total national figure of 51 million) had turned out to cast ballots on Saturday.
