Martyrs of the revolution are to be honored by naming streets around the country after them

Egyptian Prime Minister Ahmed Shafiq has ordered governors to name streets after the January 25 Revolution martyrs.

Shafiq assigned governors to rename the streets where each martyr lived after them in appreciation of their role in the historical uprising against the government.

Meanwhile, it is only a matter of time before the Mubarak metro station is also renamed. Since the former president's ouster, his name has been inked out of maps on metro trains with shohada' (martyrs) written by hand in its place.
