Mourad Ali, the Freedom and Justice Party’s media advisor, stated on Monday that reshuffling the cabinet was the responsibility of President Mohamed Morsi and not the responsibility of the party from which he hails. Mourad denied reports that the FJP has been interfering in cabinet reshuffles.

"The Freedom and Justice Party does not interfere in the work of the current government and the party is keen on the independence of the state's authorities and institutions," Ali said, denying reports that he gave statements about ministerial reshuffle.

Egyptian newspaper Youm 7 published a report on Sunday stating that Mourad claimed that there would be reshuffles at eight ministries soon after the official announcement of the constitution referendum results this week.
