The Sixth October City prosecution has begun an investigation into the incident.
The FJP is the political wing of the Muslim Brotherhood, the most powerful political group in post-revolution Egypt.
In early December, several offices of the Brotherhood were attacked across Egypt, including the group’s headquarters in the Moqattam district of Cairo.
