President Mohamed Morsi will receive an honorary doctorate in philosophy from Pakistan's National University of Science and Technology on Monday, state-news agency MENA reports.

Egypt's ambassador in Pakistan, Saeed Handam, said the university was among the best in Pakistan and was the only one in the country to be ranked among the 500 best universities in the world.

President Morsi will visit Pakistan on a one-day state visit on Monday. He is expected to hold a one-on-one meeting with Asif Ali Zardari and sign a number of mutual agreements.
