Egypt's Al-Azhar leader to visit Pope Tawadros for Easter greeting

The sheikh of Al-Azhar will give the Coptic Orthodox leader his best wishes for the upcoming religious festival

Al-Azhar Grand Imam Ahmed El-Tayyeb will meet Coptic Orthodox Pope Tawadros II on Friday at the papal premises in St Mark's Catherdral to give him best wishes for Easter, reported Ahram's Arabic website.

Pope Tawadros II was enthroned last year after the death of his predecessor Shenouda III. This will be his first Easter celebration.
