Al-Azhar students and teachers demonstrate in support of Azhar Sheikh

Four thousand Azhar students and teachers held a demonstration today in Aswan to show their support for Grand Mufti Ahmed El-Tayeb.

The protesters wanted El-Tayeb to retain his position.

The protest halted the work in all Azhar institutes and schools in Aswan.

May Allah save him!
Sheikh Ahmed Al Tayeb is a great Imam and scholar.He does his best to meet the demands of all sectors of Al Azhar.He doesn't care about keeping his position for many years,so we feel his independence in taking decisions that benefit people.May Allah save and bless him!
